Sun Microsystems Offers New Technology to Al-Othaim Markets
Sun Microsystems (Sun) was recently chosen by Al-Othaim Markets Co. to provide an information technology (IT) infrastructure to run the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). In addition, Sun will provide a comprehensive set of Oracle Retail merchandising, planning, supply chain, and stores applications for Al-Othaim Markets. Sun's X4250 and T5220 servers will run the Oracle E-Business application, and the Sun SPARC Enterprise M4000 server will run the retail databases. Together, these servers will enhance Al-Othaim’s IT infrastructure capabilities and allow the company to manage orders and monitor stocks more efficiently.
